Dude, after all that info, and getting schooled, you still got the gull to to try to pick it apart.... let it go.

About autos or manuals? Once again, i'll answer both

Autos, in more detail, it's a 1:1 ratio because TWO of the 3 parts of the panetary gearset lock up. Picture this, the sun is locked to the input shaft, the ring is locked to the output shaft. The planet carrier is locked so the planets can't turn. How are the planets going to turn with the sun turning with the torque converter and the ring locked to the wheels? The planets won't turn, the whole planet carrier turns and brings the ring with it, moving the wheels. Normally sun input, ring output gives you reverse, but the planets are locked, so the planets act like locks, locking the sun and ring as one. Since the planets themselves are not turning, the planet carrier makes the same number of RPMs as the ring and sun, thus a 1:1 ratio.

Answering that not many manuals have a 1:1 ratio is easy.

Scroll to transmission, of the 3 transmissions, none have a 1:1 ratio. BTW, the auto doesn't have a 1:1 ratio because it is a 5 speed auto, it has enough gearsets that Honda could give each gear a perfect ratio.

Click on transmission. Note the 1:1 ratio for the 4 speed auto, no 1:1 ratio for the manuals.

Can't find any other sites that mention gear ratios, but you get the picture.

auto hp
auto torque
Ok I see it now, and the Manual. IMO not quite a fair comparison because the AEM SRI is a pretty crappy design with half the filter obstructed by the battery and the friggin front fender, but the baselines show quite a bit.

That's why I'm calling BS.

3042/133 = 22.87 lb/hp
2843/148 = 19.21 lb/hp

That a significant power difference. All other things being equal, it's like saying that a 148whp Ralliart can beat a 183whp Ralliart.
