Need a heads up

Just wondering, i have 2003 OZ with an injen intake and greddy exhaust. i'm wondering how much would a new header help? If it's a good amount, is the RRM a good one or is there some thing better? thanks for the help

Since you already have intake and exhaust, a header is a good next move. I'm guessing you'll grab a few more horsepower that way (3-5), and even a few more than that if you can add a throttle body and intake manifold to it in the future.

Of course, that kind of question will get you 5 different opinions, but yes RRM is highly knowledgeable on power. Rob (the owner of RRM) has reasons behind every design he makes, and currently has a Lancer that got under 13 seconds in the 1/4 mile using mostly RRM parts. If you buy his least expensive header, though, you might want to heat wrap them, but they will give you a good HP increase.

BTW, RRM is also the one that sells the enlargened intake manifold and throttle body, which will save your torque when you get your exhaust so free.

The headers would be a very good idea. Your setup is very similar to my old one and when I put in a RRM header I could feel it pick up power after 3500 rpm. To be fair, take a look at RPW as well. It's a slightly different setup but many people like theirs as well. If you are planing on getting a RRM turbo set up, then stick with the RRM header. It will make things easier in the long run. Good luck.

When you're looking for Header on a Lancer you have 3 options

RPW (Expensive and Dyno proven)
RRM (Less expensive, compatible with the RRM turbo, never dyno proven)
Kamikaze (Dirt cheap, comes with a Downpipe, never dyno proven)

I currently have the Kamikaze and love them... If I was in the same finnancial situation I was when I got them, I would still buy them... If I had a few more $, I would have taken the RPW. You hear/read more about RRM because their US based. Rpw is based in Australia but have a US retailer(visionimports.com). Both companies have a very good knowledge of the 4g94. Which is the ultimate best? We'll never know until someone decides to Dyno them all.
