i reached 28k today and i was wondering if it is necessary to change the transmission fluid. I heard that its good to change it when reaching 30k. Grinding is worse than before and i was wondering if this is gonna help. Any inputs are much appreciated

 

from my experience, its always good to change your transmission fluid every 15-20k. some people change it on an even more frequently at every other engine oil change. it would definitely help with grinding as fresh transmission oil helps smoothen shifts. id recommend amsoil synthetic mtf.

change it as soon as possible......you will not regret it !

 

Shep recommends every 3rd oil change... So, thats what I do..

 

Changed mine at 11k, would definitely say to change yours as well

 

I changed mine at 20k and it did take away some of the notching and grinding. I used Amsoil.

We change the tranny fluid every 4.5 hours, about 4 times a season.
