new RS owner

I recently bought a used 05 RS about 2 weeks ago. I'm amazed at how much fun the car is and how well it handles. Anyway's I thought I would just say hi to everybody.

I've noticed lol!! having come from a galant vr4 I've gotten alot of help over on the gvr4 board. I'm not exactly a newb, I've been lurking/researching for a while. Plus having a few DSM's & a WRX I've learned a few things here and there.

How annoying is it not having power locks/windows?

I was thinking about an RS, then just installing my own but its kind of a PITA.

Ed, I've seen you on 27th, and I just saw you yesterday on O when I went to pick up my touch up paint. You had just picked up something from the dealer also. I missed you by like 30 seconds. Sweet that you got white, and mine is red. We are the only two RS's in the state. Next time you see me, wave you *****; lol. Seriously, I would love to take a closer look at your car bro. PM me if you ever want to shoot the bull or compare notes. Later.

I didn't even notice, sorry. My wife was telling me she saw a red one the other day without a wing and I thought I was the only RS in town j/k. I was hoping I would run into some local guys sometime and shoot the ****. I'll pm you.

I don't mind the windows much, it's the locks that really suck sometimes. I might have to install a remote setup someday.

Haha; yeah man, I was squinting my eyes at yours trying to tell if you were in an rs or if you were wingless. When I licensed my car, the rs wasn't even in the DMV's system. So I was like "cool, i'm the only one in the state". I got to enjoy that for about one week thanks to you! It's all good. I'm glad someone else got one. I SO wanted white, but had trouble finding one. When the red one showed up in Tacoma, I had to snag it. Very few people here know what we are driving so it is big time fine surprising them.

just got my RS too and I love it. not having the power locks is not a problem I just wish they had a way to unlock the back doors with a key. I am too lazy to reach around.

Hey guys, a couple questions about your RS's....First, I really don't care much about the ride comfort, It's not like I'm buying a Lincoln or something, but how is it? On a scale of 1-10, 1 being the comfort of flying down a bumpy hill in a little red wagon, and 10 being a nice smooth ride, what would you rate it? How about the noise? There is no Urban Jungle package in '05, correct? Are there cutouts to put speakers/cd player even through it isn't there in the first place? Just want to get some feedback from some owners...Thanks in advance!

the ride isn't that bad I was expecting it to be harsher after reading alot of other peoples reviews. it is a little stiffer then most cars but it makes the car feel so much more solid. The wife even enjoys driving it. I'd rate it a 4 on your scale but still pretty smooth for the amount of handling. I don't think the cabin noise is that bad, it's not a lexus but it is about average for a compact car. The urban jungle package was a myth it never existed. The car comes prewired for a stereo and speakers the holes are all ready there you just need to add you setup. hope this helps,

I'm going to...I've never had power windows anyway, so I won't be missing much! How does the ride compare to other cars you've owned/driven and how much did you pay for it?
