got my first manual and have some questions

i just traded in my 02 lancer es automatic and bought an 06 scion tc 5 speed.
the car is amazing i cant believe how well it drives and the amount of goodies that come stock on it. well this is my first manual and i have been getting really good at it. i am taking it slow like pulling the clutch out slowly while slowly building rpms cause i know that if i build them too fast it will hurt and burn the clutch right? well after driving it tonight i bent down to smell the engine compartment and i could smell the clutch. it was really faint smell so i am just wondering if that is normal to be able to smell the clutch a little bit after a drive?

and then a little off topic. how can i change the "drives" section from lancer to scion?

I wouldn't be too worried about the clutch smell, what it basically means is your spending too much time on the clutch. Learn to get it done faster. As far as the other question, check at the top of the screen where is Says "user CP", should be under options.

The most wear to be done on the clutch/ transmission is in-between shifts (like if you gear grind from 1st to 2nd). Mis-shifts are hell on the tranny.

it's just breaking in...smell will go away, it's most likely some of the protective gel in the exhaust burning out.

It's a brand new car. It's going to give off a lot weird smells. If it's your first manual, then how do you know what burnt clutch smells like?
