I think you're riding your clutch too much. Mine only smelled after a few botched launches. Is this car your first manual transmission?

Is the car new? The engine smell goes away after a few hundred miles.

Yeah when my Evo was new it had a weird smell for the first couple hundred miles. It's normal both Evo's I have had did the same thing. If it's not new then you might have a problem.

the clutch smell is very distinctive. It is completely different smell from burning oil or rubber. It is really really nasty kinda smell.

I have a new car and I can smell it after I stop driving. Definitely not clutch (I know how bad that smells), so I guess its just the new engine

I once had a plastic bag melted to my exhaust. I must haev driven over it and once the exhaust got warm it would smell. Took me forever to figure out what the problem was...I thought I was burning oil or something. Scrapped off the plastic and the smell went away.
