Car smells after rain...

Hey guys,

So yea...my car usually smells REALLY bad after driving out in the rain, it smells like mold..its a really bad smell, it only happens when I was out driving in the rain. Does anyone have any idea what causes the bad smell and what I could do to prevent it? (other than stop driving when it rains...lol)

Thanks for any help

do you think I can bring this up to the dealer and have them take a look at it under warranty?

considering you have an MR I'll take a guess

in your passenger fender there is a grommet that your stock MR gauge pack was wired through...many people have issues with water getting in the car through there and getting under the carpet

pull your passenger side from wheel and remove the fender lining...inspect the grommet...apply waterproof silicone if needed

OH NO!!! ^^ yep you are right.....I have a thread on this...and YES, I'm certain too it's coming from where they routed your boost gauge/electrical connections for the gauge pack. Do a quick search for "my mr leaks" and you will see my thread. I think it's page 3 post #44

Strange... I seen a thread about the driver side kick panel where water came from behind the wheel well of some sort and fried some wires. Should check in there too just to be safe. GL
