Running water sound while driving

Update, page 2! Figured it out!

So I'm still pretty new to the Evo world so just let me know if anyone else has heard this. When I drive in the rain I can hear water draining, I know it sounds weird, its not the rain hitting the car, its a distinct running water sound. I thought maybe there were channels in the rain gutters on the roof letting water down but I don't see anything. Its sounds like its coming from the pillar between the front and rear doors. I can hear it while just sitting in the rain too, also I get a kinda musky smell in the car after it rains, I hope I don't have a leak. Anyone have any insight into this?

if you have a sunroof, check the drains. if not, use a garden hose at where you think the water is coming in. there usually will be telltale signs of water intrusion. (like warped carpet, stains, etc.) good luck. theres a few waterleak posts on here also.

I don't have a sunroof, but I'll do the waterhose check and see what happens.

When you have your A/C on does it drip underneath your car? If not the weep hold for your evaporator core may be clogged.

Yeah, it drips. I only hear the noise when its raining. I searched all the places that people have posted up on here about water leaking and didn't see anything on my car.

do you or have you ever had stereo equipment installed in the car? Usually a bad wire run from the engine bay through the firewall may cause a leak, and or through the trunk of the car. Check those areas out.

if you have a stock intake,,, try to check your air filter, maybe your filter is clogged already. same thing happened to me before.

Seems wierd on a car this new, but maybe a leak in the heater core? Check your coolant level and see if you are loosing any.

Its ok, like I said its only when its raining, but when I look for anything wet on the interior I can't find anything. I looked in the trunk too.
