If I had to do it over again, I wouldn't get a turbo timer at all. IMO.

No need to ask that stuff here; it's been beaten to death, and frankly, shopping around for turbo timers is just a waste of time. They are all cheap, simple, and unnecessary.

Anyway, go join DcEvoClub.com and introduce yourself. We have a lot of local vendor sponsors who can get you parts and provide installation at great prices.

Congrats man. The search has tons of info about TT. I have the HKS Type 1 and like it. I don't think you can really go wrong. It just depends on what bells and whistles you want with it. I installed mine myself and it was really easy.

I got the Apexi tt. It was a pretty simple instal, and I have installed it on a few other evos. I like it because it is small and discreet. They run about $100. Here is a good how to for the install:

spend your hundred dollars on something else TT's are just an annoying way to spend $100 IMO

i have had numerous turbo Dsm's and all of them have had turbo timer.....except my current EVO....after all of the turbo timer nonsense.....i dont' think that they are needed.

they are cheap and they do look cool....so if thats what you're going for....get one....if not...it's not needed at all

oh and one more thing...of all the timers i've had........i would go with the greddy....it's very user friendly and looks nice.

Congrats on the purchase. For the turbo timer, just find a used one here on the forum, any brand, install yourself to save some money.

I have the greddy tt because it came with it. I dont know all the functions and what not but i know that it works. You could however just save $100 and just leave your car on after you drive.

In every single thread, the answer is always, "search, it's been covered many times." Instead of saying search, just give him an answer to end the thread. People just end up making a new thread every week that's 3 pages long and does nothing at all but screw up the search function for those of us that do use it.

I'm a new evo owner two Only 300 miles on the clock and have been driving it pretty easy, keeping it below 5000 rpm. Have hit 7000 rpm a few times, as I have been told that it helps seat the valves properly with a very occasional high rev. Just dont go nuts- I know it s hard

I went for the greddy TT, but havent got it yet. It will be handy here in the NE when it is -20F outside and I want to warm up my car without leaving the keys in it for some theiving gypsy ****** to steal it
