Soooo Very Close!!!!

So here is the rundown. I am a 17 (soon to be 18) senior in highschool and I have had a fever for about 3 years now, and the only perscription is an Evo VIII. Now I have been reading about how Mitsu has "great" deals on Evos now and I want to get one more than ever. The only thing though is that I dicussed this with my mother and she said that it wouldnt be a wise decsion going into college (i.e. money and all). So what I am asking is more input from the Evo community before any real decision is made. thanks in advance.

depends on how expensive the college is. if you can afford both, why not? just know that maintenance on the car is really expensive even if you drive it like a granny.

As much as I hate to say it she's right. I've been out of college now for a while and own my own business, and I can tell you the $30,000 you would spend/ make payments on that car would pay for a lot of books, apartments, and food at college. ALWAYS put your education first, then when you get out of college and have plenty of "your own cash" then buy an EVO TEN.

ASU is the destionation, I am not paying for college, (books maybe) I have no debts and if I were to make the decsion to buy an Evo, I would start working before any purchase and save up fora down payment.

Well, the only thing is that I would prefer to get an Evo 8 because I dont have a good vibe on the IX or X and I odnt want to get a used Evo8 because that is a sin in my book.

okay so u will be paying for books and thats it. As long as you can make the 500-600 payments you should be good as well as about 800 in insurance. heres the thing make sure you dont screw up your first year in college, it is the hardest and the easiest to screw up and also the worst if u ask me. Just dont get distracted by your evo or anything else and you should be good.

well if you can afford around 500 a month for an evo, plus 150 for insurance, plus 150 for fuel. then why not. driving an evo in high school would make a statement.

the best way to waste your money is to buy a new car.
its hands down the worst investment you can make.

goto school, make lots of money and buy two evos when your 30

well your book differs from mine greatly...cause if i were you...i would look for a used one......

but other than that.....if you can't afford one with out working your nuts off.......just go to collge....you'll be so distracted by all the cooch there...you'll probably forget about the EVO all together.

Get your priorities in order...Education FIRST...FUN later.

Education = good job = fun (EVO)
