I had an 03 S2k and went from it to my Evo. I still miss my S2k dearly and would LOVE to have another, but I just need more room. My Evo is 100000 times faster than my S2k, but that damn car still has me dreaming about it. It is def. the pinnacle of the driving experience for a $30k car.

 

I still have the S2000 (okay, the S is my dad's, but I drove it for 2 years and actually just drove it yesterday) It took me about a day, but I was driving non stop to break it in. And the S2000 was fairly well modded and had a real stiff race clutch, race clutch to the Evo clutch was the hardest thing to get used to. I guess it's hard for me to really say cuz I didn't go stock to stock, the alignment and coilovers that were/are on the s2000 make it's steering just as sensitive as the Evo's. Now switching between the two takes very little effort, the clutches and the longer throw on the Evo's stick are the only things that ever take me a bit to get used to. Compared to the S, you are driving a tractor trailer, simple as that.

And I would like to add, that from a dig, an Evo is definitly faster, but do enough races and the Evo will be slower (it's clutch will go faster)... From a dig racing safely on both cars without ripping the tranny and clutch to pieces, they're actually about equal untill high 2nd low 3rd gear (trust me, I've been on 4-5 S2k drives) Now from a roll, the Evo will stomp anything but a superchared S2000. And don't start pissing about traction, cuz 340 whp barely loses traction in 1st when it hits Vtec, and after 1st, it pulls like a ****.

 

Agreed for the most part, except the part of the 100000 times faster...The S2
will always dwell in mind for a very long time.

 

Well my Evo is making 330whp and complementary tq. It would absolutely DESTROY my S2k in a contest of straight-line speed. My S2k lost badly to my little brothers Cobb stg.2 WRX. My Evo walks his car so hard its like he isn't even racing, probably has to do w/ the fact that I have about 100whp on him.

Totally different vehicles but similar performance! Maybe a little better performance on an Evo.?

Dude, whats your hold up??? I loved my S2k and still do, but apparently you get real mad that my Evo is faster?? Who the F cares man. I bought the S2k because of the driving experience and handling, not to make 10000hp. You def. have a chip on your shoulder for whatever reason.

 

Dude..u need to chillz....This is a forum...if someone gets mad in this place then that person should seek help. Only youngsters boast on how fast their cars are or how many other cars they smoked. Listen...I started this post to see how other ppl cope in changing cars and maybe to seek some advise of the change. Do you really think I care how one modded car killed another? You smoke ur own S2000...great...u want a medal now? Maybe u deserve a purple heart?

Take your own advice slick. I told you my Evo was faster and you spout off with a smart *** comment like "sorry, but I ran out of trophies to hand out." What part of my post did I say how many cars I have killed???? Bragging about how fast my car is?!?!! You do realize that the S2k is EASILY beatable car, if I wanted to brag, I would brag about pulling my friends 03 Cobra, not my S2k. However, then you had to go an act like a 3yr and be Mr. Smartass. BTW, this is a forum, but that DOES NOT EXCUSE you from the basic decency you should demonstrate to someone. Bragging never even entered into my train of thought, I was purely explaining my case and you go off on this tangent accusing me of something that was completely not the case.
