Saying Hi, doing some research, going for a test drive today.
Hi all. My name is Bryan. I live in MD.
.... I like long walks on... .... ok, enough of that.
I'm currently in the market for a new or slightly used car. I'm checking out the Legacy GT, Mazda6, and the Evo for ****s and giggles. I was steering clear of Mitsu due to their current financial situation and their need to track down people racing their Evo's to void their warranty. But with them offering 0% financing on Evo's and the parent company not giving up on them it seems like it could be a great time to get one.
I noticed someone in my neighborhood (sloop, spook, slip, or something like that) is selling his 05 EB. I called him a week ago but he hasn't called back so I'm assuming he's not selling it anymore.
I took off from work today to get ready for the beach tomorrow but figured I could get some test drives in at the local dealerships =)
If Mitsu offers me a really good deal and the higher cost of the Evo with 0% financing ends up equaling the lower cost Legacy GT with higher APR I may seriously consider purchasing one.
I honestly was never a fan of the STI / Evo but they've both grown on me. I'm looking forward to testing one.
Here are my current cars.

Good luck on test drive if its just for S*** and giggles. Most dealers won't let you test drive until you have financing lined up. Anythings worth a try. I don't think you'll be disapointed if you get the opportunity, the only S*** with your giggles will be in your pants.........have fun!!

i have tier 1 credit so i should be applicable for their 0% financing. if they don't qualify me or don't allow a test drive then I'll wish them good luck with their career at Mitsubishi and head straight for Subaru. haha.
seriously though. car salesman with mitsu should be trying their hardest to help their company or else they'll be applying for new jobs elsewhere. unlike -many- test drivers who are just looking to rag on a new car, i'm seriously looking for one.
i WILL purchase a new EVO if they give me a good deal - don't get me wrong. i'm not looking to test one just to drive one.

I'm 25 and I had a hard time getting sales people to take me serious. Several times, I just left because I was being blown off. All I can suggest is that if you want a test drive, act like you are serious. If you want a bargain, act like you are not interested.

even if you are 23, if you have a good job and dont walk in wearing torn jeans and a backward cap, they'll mostly likely give you a test drive. image is everything.
