Today I decided to talk to the owner of an evo, (Only evo in town) I asked him If he has lost to anything at all yet, he responded that he had lost to the mazdaspeed protege. Both are completely stock and he said he lost by 4 car lengths?? Are mazda speed proteges fast at all? Oh, by the way the guy cant really drive it very good, but I still think he could have beat him.

That is a pretty lame question. A 350Z is no match for an evo and that is the best nissan usa has to offer. 350z>rx8>mazda 6>Miata> mazda3> and some where down in the bottom of all nissans is the protege.

NO it can not beat an evo, if your friend truly lost to one he is a horrible driver.

hmm let's see it weighs 2843 has 170 hp at 6000 rpms and 155 lb at 3500 rpms. Evo is roughly 3230 and has 230 wheel and matching torque and is geared to go fast. Not trying to make it sound like a God, who am I kidding Evos rule! =D

 

i just traded in my mazdaspeed protege for my evo yesterday. it's not even close. the mazdaspeed was a good car for the price, but for all out performance the evo is in a whole other category

 

this has to be a joke. . .a ms protege is slow as bricks. . .ur friend is a dip, and ur a bigger one for listening to him. . .take his EVO away if he lost to a ms protege (I don't care HOW mod'ed it is, they're still slow). . .
