The wing is alright, but please don't put the badges on there. If you put the evo badges on their even the honda guys will laugh at you.

I don't think they share as many parts as people think. The only thing I noticed that was the same on lancer as the evo was the dash. If you get and OZ or ES next to a evo they look as if they could be 2nd cousins, maybe.

 

If by alot you mean the dashboard and the trunklid then yes. To me that is not alot. I agree the wing looks silly without the fender flares. Then again I have no wing and no badges. Good luck in your quest to look fast.

i just put on an evo wing and CF trunk on my 03 oz... too me it does look odd, but I'm planing to put on a body kit to make it look much better, I don't care if others say it's out of place... I'm putting together a car they way I see looks good to myself not others... I'm not putting on an evo wing to look fast, to look fast? come on now... what kind of comment is that??? this bashing between evos and lancers is really lame. If i remember correctly, lancers were first introduced in the US before the EVO, and converting lancers to look like evos were the only thing enthusiasts could do to get close to having one.

 

Why on earth would you put a high wing on a front wheel drive car? It will push down on the back wheels effectively taking grip from the front ones, the ones that drive the car.....

As for the Lancer being first, that has nothing to do with what we're talking about here. The first corvette's had 6 cylinder motors in them, does that make them even remotely better then their younger brothers?

The only bashing I see between lancers and evo's is when someone tries to make their car look like an evo. Regular lancers are not very suited for modding/racing, although they are excelent commuter cars.

Yeah but some people just like the look of it I guess. I like my Evo wingless, I'm not really a big fan of wings. Anyway, there are plenty of fwd cars that have wings on them, eg. ITRs, RSX-S, etc. and they look fine imo though not much of a purpose.

 

i think you missed the point. I originally posted that comment in reply to him saying that if it werent for the lancer, there would be no evo.
so i was discussing the fact that the evo has been around ( much like your 6 cyl first edition corvette) for many years waay before the lancer was developed.

Lancer doesnt even remotely look like an EVO in my opinion. The lights, hood, fenders both front and back, doors, (wing of course), wheels are all so different. The wing isnt gonna do anything for a regular Lancer other than make it look retarded. Seriously. Thats the kinda **** people laugh at.
