read what i wrote again-- i was talking about how much they spend in making it look and go fast, and ive even seen a couple that claim they did turbo kits , etc.

they will spend close to that 10k and still not have something as good as the stock evo.
then you are gonna be talking about maintenace all that. just get over it, not every one wants an evo, and just cus they want the wing doesnt mean they are trying to look like one. hell if i knew i could afford it i would rather have an elise...but you wouldnt understand

lancer is what it is, hints why its economy car and not a peformance orintated. One of the reason why people can't get the evo is because of insurance and maintence. Im pretty sure most of the lancer guys could swing an evo car payment alone, but ins. and maintence is awhole new story. Plus some of the evo owners work for there car, sorry... I rather have my car work for me. I've read post where evo owners have:

- broke
- have a wife or kid(s) family
- lost there g/fs
- can't afford gas
- work long hours
- work over time
- barely get by at the end of the month
- can't afford a new clutch
- can't afford new brakes
- behind on there car payment
- behind on there insurance payment
- no cash for movies, music, videogames, clothes etc.

the list goes on, personally some dudes just can't give up these things just for a car. If I was in that position, I would not want to give up these things for an evo, it's just not a smart finacial move.

Well it depends on the model. Im not for sure on the oz/es/ls... but on the ralliart the RRM stg1 turbo kit could beat an evo (4k). If you wanna out handle the evo and out stop it, (1k-2k).

Here is my opinion:I have a 04 Evo VIII and there is nothing wrong with a lancer oz or es its his car and if he wants to put it on than no one should critisize him for doin so!If you realy want to get technical for the 30,000 that an evo cost if he had that kind of money to spend and bought the lancer and spent the rest on mods like turbo, exhaust, cams, etc He would be beating most evos!So my opinion you fix your car the way you want and those who critisize are just arigant.SO PUT THE WING ON THERE MAN IF THATS WHAT YOU WANT.

The maintenece on the evo is not as bad as people think. Any car you mod you have to expect to breaK remeber you play you pay. I guess to fully apriacte an evo you have own one, but everyone has a preference.

I think you would need to completely rebuild the head on the ralliart in order for it keep up with evo, you wouldn't get any more than 6psi with out messing it up pretty bad.

again people please do you research, before posting on here, about things that people would know a lot more than you about...i havent gone to ane vo thread and tried to post stats i knew nothing about, so why do it here? just because you know the evo, does not mean in anyway you know the rest of the Lancer family

the lancer (non ralliart) can hold 10psi daily without timing retardation, thats good for about 220- whp maybe more depending on mods

the ralliart boosted @ 7-8psi is a highway killer, im would give the evo a run for its money. a few stock evo owners have fallen in so cal because of manny's car.

the ralliarts head is a whole lot better built than the 2.0 counter part, and is said that it will be able to hold 12psi daily

there is also a ralliart that has had its head reworked, and guess how much its pushing? ill give you a clue its in puerto rico...ill let you search for the answer tho...so at least you'll learn a thing or two before you come back

Oh my god, just stop... really just stop... LMAO. You honestly have NO IDEA what your talking about. Im loving making fun of your post... you could make it easier on yourself by posting up some actually facts instead of making yourself look like a loser.

Rebuild the heads to keep up with an evo? 6psi? OMG . Ill say it again, DO YOUR RESEARCH. Please, do your research, edit your reply and than post up knowledgeble information. You DON'T need to rebuild the head, you CAN boost over 6psi.

Don't be an idiot, do your research... learning is fun

5-6k, depending on what you match...

This is too funny. What are you going put on a lancer for 5-6k that will make it beat an evo on the track? Have you ever been to a track with you Lancer? I have been to many autocrosses and track days and have yet come across one Lancer. Where are all these evo killers? Maybe you and your entourage of adoring women should show up to some club events and lay some smack down. Patiently waiting.

If you say so....

I want to find one of these 4k turbo and 2k handling lancers to race, are there any in the PA area? We can do AutoX or Dragstrip.

I don't care about how great it is on the highway, if I wanted a highway beast I would have bought an SRT-4.

whoa whoa whoa! you misrepresented me there buddy! i only posted the question- not the answer of "5-6k, depending on what you match..."

i fully agree thats retarded and that was my point in asking.

and to those who say on yea only 4k for a turbo kit.... well thats just for the turbo kit... what about the labor to install? im sure that has to cost a pretty penny...

also i dunno about everyone else, but my insurance is actually pretty cheap... when buying my car, i got similar numbers on a pretty much any of the cars i needed full insurance on.. evo wasnt really any higher than any other new car....

thats a typical resposne from an evo owner, you asked whether it would compete, so i said yes. look your car is not a god or cars, and there is always someone better or something better out there...you guys seriously have your heads way up there.

god not another evo owner with a head stuck so far up, there are a few boosted ralliarts spread around the country, one here in socal(that i know of), there is even an N/A ralliart, that should be hitting mid-high 13's on simple bolt ons( nor cal)

ill finish this later i gotta go to chrurch, im sure mike will come in here and finish it
