I replied b/c it has been stated in this thread that $5-6k is all you need to make a Lancer out accelerate, brake, and handle better than an evo. If that is true I guess I bought the wrong car. Forget about power, can you give me a list of parts that would just make a Lancer out brake and handle an evo for 5-6K. And I was just wondering no Lancer owners ever race their cars. I have seen hundreds of different cars at autocross's and such, never a Lancer. Hell I've even seen a station wagon race. Lil man? u know, i actually have respect for the dude in that thread. he takes his car to the track, he races whatever lines up with him, if he wins, good, if not, it's ok. at least he's not running his mouth about how u can bolt on evo panels with some modifications (if modification is required, they're NOT same parts, duh). i don't see evo wing on his car either, eventhough it's functional, he chose to skip on that functionality. he's simply having fun with his car which is what everyone should do. i know a lancer owner on this forum who started doing shows and he has evo7 wing on. it looks nice, and he's going for the show look with some power mods. again, he's not running his mouth about how evo is nothing special blah blah, he knows what he wants to do with his car and he does it.
as far as vortex gen? it's a vortex gen for the EVO, it was designed to work on the EVO with EVO wing, i don't get why lancer guys bring it up to try to prove something. it's offered on the MR because MR is just considered so exclusive, just as it has aluminum roof, although swapping that part into GSR would be a lot more involved. if it's offered on the EVO then it should be swapped into OTHER EVO's, as long as the owner doesn't stick an MR badge on his GSR. evo9 bumpers? that's a lil different, i personally don't care for them, BUT, they're still made for EVO and EVO8-9 have basically EXACT bodies, so why not swap? don't compare it to swapping EVO parts into LANCER => EVOtoEVO is not = EVOtoLANCER.

It was a lancer owner that brought up on evo owners taking parts from the MR and place it on their GSR, because they are better parts. wwhats the difference?

the parts that people from the evo are looking for in mainly the wing, seats and the steering wheel, why because they are all direct bolt ons, and factory options that we all can get...
and please explain how the how the evo9 bumper was made for the evo8?, ya they are direct bolt ons, but tis still
wasnt made for the 8, but made for the 9
