If you would have written your post correctly you would have explained that you carried $5k into the note on the evo, but, you didnt. Not one place does it mention how much Mitsu gave you for you Scion, it only mentions how much you owed. Secondly, im an underwriter of home mortgages for Bank of America, I think I have an idea what simple and compound interest are . Thirdly, if you would have paid attention when signing the papers on the Scion you wouldnt be in the position of having to pay $41k for a $32k car. Kthxbye.

Congrats!
fsugatorbait is right either way you look at it. You paid 41K. That is quite alot. Cancel you extended warranty and pay off some of your loan....
Enjoy your car...

I just bought my new-to-me 2003 BBY Evo with 14400 miles for $20100 AFTER tax, title, and licensing. The car is in great shape for the price. There are a couple of light surface scratches, but that is almost unavoidable. I bought the car through an auction my bank (where I work at) was having. Apparently the owner went bankrupt and gave up his car to the bank, which was good for me. Looks like he just replaced the tires as well.

You can just as easily get owned by a mitsu dealer if you don't know what you are doing; understand the financing before you agree to it.

Getting screwed in a sale. It's like the whole reason for buying the evo was dissatisfaction with his financing on a Scion. It's not like showing up at the Mitsubishi dealer after a bad deal is any guarantee that won't just happen again unless you know what the heck you are doing.
