All BOVs should be adjustable in SOME way. Most are not.

As you make changes to your car, the working pressures that determine when the valve opens and closes are changed also. Even if a BOV was setup specifically for your specific EVO, as soon as you change the intake, boost levels, or especially the cams, your BOV will now release earlier or later than it did before, and a compensation needs to be made.

I am running the new Forge Type RS Kit. It comes with 2 types of pistons, (single and double) and all of the hardware to make it VTA or recirculating. It also has a large, dial on top that allows you to pre-tension the spring with a very smooth clicking motion.

I was running the HKS SSQV before but it was fluttering and not engaging properly. The Forge may not look as []D [] []V[] []D as the HKS, but the internals are way better and the performance blows it away.

Just what I've learned.

It wouldn't be necessary if you and your kind would stop asking the same questions over and over about how to make their BOV make noise. Next, I bet you'll start ANOTHER thread asking what mod you can buy next to make your BOV louder. It's so exasperating.

Does the JDM MR DV sound like a high pitch whistle?

IF you want it to make a high pitched sound than Your going to have to stick with what you got, I had the hks on my SRT4 and it was great loud and got tons of attention,

BUT went with the JDM mr bov on the evo due to the issues that you run into when changing out the bov, Its quiet yes BUT better for the car.

Here's the APS sneeze, and what your APS should sound like. Kinda cheesy, but only happens under decent boost. No fluttering, just a sneeze. My opinion.

You're clinging to something that will never be, you need to let it go. If that's what makes him happy, who are you to say it's wrong?

You strike me as a pitifully bitter little person.

I don't care what makes him happy. I just don't want him littering our forum with it when it annoys the hell out of those of us with a clue.

Yes, I am bitter, but I'm not little.

Littering "our" forum. EXACTLY. Man, grow up. Everyone is entitled to their own. If it annoys you, get over it.. usually thats what grown mature people do, they don't fuss about it (you) like a 5yr old.

Also, how do you think peple get a clue? Learn from others... practice, etc.

Why was the first mod on your evo a BOV? Im currently trying to stop my friend from buying a BOV (for his first mod) on his evo. I try explaining to him that's it not the first mod that should be done, but he sooooo hooked on "pssssh, pssssh, pssssh". I hate to say it, be he's an idiot and im sure he register by now too to read this.

dont worry about that...its not the deciding factor on which BOV i get. i was just saying when i get one i dont want to be rediculously loud. the stock BOV does just fine for me with it sound and performance. About the tuning i am heading up to CT to get al to do it after x-mas and i get my exhaust and highflow cat and down pipe.

Our once proud forum? Man your the ****ing reason this forum is become BullsHt...how is this forum proud?? proud of what? all the haters on here like yourself? are you proud of all your god damn stupid *** not needed comments...who you calling a honda boy? thats a great comment you musta thought about that one all by yourself...congrats...

and do this for me.... forums are made to ask questions and to discuss things...now see unlike you of course...people have lives and are not able to spend every second of the day on here to search so they post so they can get a quicker response...so do this just answer the ****ing question thats asked, and dont respond with a dumb *** comment... i d c how much you know about evo's if you know so much then be the "MATURE" (key word) one and help the person out...or politley say there are alot of forums on this topic you should try a search....instead of going on and on about about how this forum is getting run over by HONDABOYS and being sarcastic all the time, help newbies like myself out... you dont need to act tough, i mean i know that in from of a computer is probably the only time you can act tough cuz in the real world your probably a big ***** but still dont do it...no one needs your bull...im done!! 1
