Last night I picked up my white evo IX from the dealership, man it looks so nice, I still can't believe it's my car everytime I walk to it. I"ll have to post pics as soon as I can find my digital camera. I just have one question, I went to bestbuy to buy a wiring harness for a alpine deck I want to put in. But they said they don't carry them for mitsu evo 05-06 because they changed them that year. Is that true or are they just bull****ting me? Pics to come later today after work.

Sorry for the crappy pics, it's not a perfect picture but just something to look. Not even 24 hours and the car is already dirty. And it had to be such bad weather outside too.









and does anyone have an answer about the wiring harness? Also the antenna is obviously not stock, that was the first thing to go, tommorow i'm gonna debadge the whole trunk and maybe debadge the front.

 

Are those stickers on the door panel?

 

Yea they came with the car, says stuff about the acd and when to use it, i just am too lazy to pick them off.

Almost 100% sure I have the regular Lancer harness in my '05. Some places will let you try it and return them if it doesnt work (Tweeter did that for me). Give the regular lancer one a try.

05 worked with the earlier harness

 

if the stereo didn't change, the harness didn't change. just remember though if you have the infinity system you'll need a different harness altogether, one that best buy doesn't stock period. if that's the case, search here for something like "infinity harness" and it should come up.
