EVO vent on hood...
I think these hood vent have rain guard, which looks like v-shaped things...catch water. I don't think you should cover that place up, it's very very hot for turboed machines.
If you look directly from the top, you won't see the engine, that's what the rain-guard is there for. So should be a problem.

I got one of those CF hood that just has a wiremesh on top. Many times I drove in the rain my car looked like a pi$$ed off dragon with steams coming out of its nostrils :P

Do you want a cover for the bottom end of your engine--cause it gets plenty of water sprayed up on it when you drive in the rain . . .
