Royal Blunder...Ticket help!!!

Well I was on 95 in Maryland and I was in the middle lane following a semi. Being that I can't stand semis because of things that happened to me in Iraq I click my blinker change to the left lane and pass going about 90mph. Well that's when I see somebody is tailgating me, I pull forward far enough for him to pull out and well it's a camaro. He gets in the far right lane and starts revving and jumping forward at me. I quickly realize it's a Police car and it's funny cause earlier in NY another one was revving at me so I played with him just a lil and he told me nice car and went on his way. Well not this guy he guns it so I play along, we build up to 130mph and well I start to pull on him, as soon as he realizes he can't hang he flips the lights. I pull over and he asks me why I was SPEEDING??!!!! I tell him I had a complex about semis.

He then asks why I went up to 130! I'm thinking he's got to be kidding at this point and I quickly reply that I thought he was messing with me! He asks for my license which is a Tx license and leaves me there for the next hour, he comes back asks me to step out of the car and gives me 6 TICKETS!!!!!!! WTF!!!

1. Reckless Driving-$580
2.Aggresive Driving-$530
3. 130 in a 65-$580
4. Highway Racing-$260
5.Unsafe lane change-$80
6.Following too closely -$80

What the hell do I do?

You KNEW it was a police car?!?! what the hell is wrong with you? Whenever I see the slightest hint of a cop (i.e. radar goes off, looks like cop car cause of antenna, grill, license plate, etc) I slow down and let everything settle down

royal blunder is right when you actually identified a cop car and then decided to go fast

what did you expect to happen? granted you were lucky with the previous cop in NY but going up to 130 is just asking for trouble

get a lawyer

I'm with him. YOU KNEW IT WAS A COP!!!!!!! Last time I checked you slow down when you see a cop not try to race him. I guess you could try and fight it and see what happens. Thats about all you can do besides just pay it. From now on just slow down and think twice about going 130.

I normally don't respond like this, but I feel really passionately about this... I would recommend selling your car before you kill yourself, end up in jail, or prove that you can make more mature decisions. I mean, racing a cop, that's just plain dumb...

your only hope is to fight for entrapment. he iniated it, he was leading you on, it was coerced (maybe!) and he led you into it, instigated if you will. GET A LAWYER, and pray. its your only hope. your lucky you still have your car, he could have towed that puppy really fast had he wanted to!
