Just read the forums, plenty of information about the pros and cons of Evos.
Personally at age 15 I was more worried about passing my drivers test first before I started looking at cars. I've been waiting for four years to get mine and I'm finally picking it up today.

If your dad is a fan of the Audi, more often then not, he'll HATE the Evo. This thing shakes, squeeks, and is a pain to be for older folks. My dad likes to watch me race, but HATES riding in it. And yes, for $32K, you'll find a good clean Evo new or used. Now... If i was 15 and wanted my parents to buy me an Evo, i'd show them all the stats on how well this thing can stay on the road. Maybe hype of the snow/gravel/tarmac function as some proof this car will handle in any condition? Of course parents are not stupid. Don't have lots of pictures laying around with Evo's all tricked out and naked woman laying on the hood and such. My little brother is 18 and we came up with a plan for my parents to help him finance an 03 Evo. I'm 26 with an 05 GSR and have a good paying job, so it's easier for me to get through to our parents
We used the, "but mom, it's great in the snow, don't you want your kids safe?"
Just remember this. This car is TOO much for most people to handle. Adults included. Learn to drive, or this car will eat you alive!
P.s. Hope you have your flame suit on
... Good luck kid

damn ! lol still 20 and im not any where near an evo damn i wish i could give my kids the same luxury that is given to you ! if that ! hmmm dont start off with an evo work ur self to it last thing u want is to end up dead or near death at that age i think we all know how you think especially at this age man . any ways gl and stay safe kido
Do not tell your dad about car meets. He will only think you are hanging with the wrong crowd although we know differently. AFAIK an A4 is less money than an EVO but since you said 32 grand maybe that is what he spent on your sister. I would ask him for 25 for a used EVO 8 and let him send you to driving school for the other 5-7 grand.
i wouldnt rag on the kid, not his fault his parents choose to give him nice things.
As for an EVO as a first car, i think you are making a poor choice. Manual transmission is hard enough to learn when you first start, the EVO's clutch wont take much idiot shifting before it dies.
Along with that you should be aware that at 15 your are most likely to speed, race, and do other stupid things on the streets that would put you and your friends in danger. These actions might not result in killing you or your friends, but someone will get hurt eventually, and undoubtedly you will recieve many tickets.
If you want the evolution, go for it, talk to your parents about 4-doors, 4wd, best braking ever, differentail that adapts to road conditions, HID head lights, etc.
Just keep words of caution in your mind
