Congrats on the new Evo, how much did you pay for your MR?

Are there any neckdowns? Is it a full 3 in. throughout?

Thanks.
The Espelir exhaust is great! It has a very nice low rumble at idle, without the raspy sound during revs many exhaust for the Evo do.

At around 3k RPMs while driving (especially on the freeway) it produces a significant bass/reverb sound in the cabin (I think this is because of the resonator in the mid pipe) I like that sound, some people do not.

From what I have heard, it is one of the more mellow exhausts for the Evo. At idle it is not much louder than stock, but once you get the revs up it is noticeably louder.

I will get some sound clips of it this weekend and post them.

When I looked through the mid pipe toward the resonator there is no neck down. So it is a full 3" throughout as far as I can tell.

Thank you! Well here in the Northwest (perhaps everywhere) they have a $10k markup over MSRP on the MR. I refused to pay that, and after several days of negotiating I was able to buy it at MSRP with a few extras thrown in (two sets of MR mats, some all weather mats and a cargo net).

I know many people are easily buying it at MSRP or less elsewhere in the country, but I am okay with what I paid. My first choice was GG, but the one they were trying to get for me sold while I was negotiating the price. I actually like the Apex Silver better now that I have it, so no big deal loosing the GG.

The Works P2 is a little different than just a flash, it includes a boost hose you have to install in the car.

Plus if you decide to change flashes, Works offers a resell program so they will reflash your car back to stock and you can then "sell" your Works flash to someone else.

The Dynoflash includes a boost hose now too! I don't know if they have a resell program, but Dynoflash is only $299. Works is $599.

I thought Dynoflash was $350? Now its $299???

And also, what is the "boost hose" for? Is that only for the IX's?

I could be wrong on the price, that is just what I read somewhere. I would call Al at Dynoflash to confirm.

The boost hose as I understand it allows the ECU to have more control over boost so that a MBC is not needed.

Just some food for thought
I'm not sure if that dynoflash price is the price of a mail in or custom tune
But get the custom tune if you can. Also, unless Al is willing to come to WA
You got quite a drive to cali and back. (Your going to put around 1700 miles on your evo)
I know this because I drove to Vishnu in my brand new IX who is also in Cali.
Vishnu is coming to WA in about a month, and IMHO he's one of the best tuners here.
BUT his flash is also much more expensive then the dynoflash. Just trying to give you more options. Check it out.

Thanks Cloud, I appreciate the advice.
I am already tracking the WA Vishnu tune session. I am seriously considering it, but haven't made up my mind for sure yet. Where in WA are you?

I love it, the car is amazing in everyway. I also own a 2004 G35 Coupe, which is feeling neglected ever since I got the Evo. The G35 is a sweet car, but nothing puts a grin on my face quite like the Evo .
