Hey, all. I have an '03 8 and would love it if the transfer case hadn't broken. It has been sitting at a semi-local dealer waiting for a decision about warranty. I know I am probably dreaming but it broke in a strange way. It actually broke in a corner...sucked. I hadn't had a really good chance to abuse the car before this even happened.

Anyway, once I get the car back I have a bunch of mods for the car...just waiting

I bought the car in August of '04. I broke the car in Nov. of '05. I had already replaced the clutch once prior to this mishap.

I have a twin disk exedy this time though. Now I am just having to hurry up and wait.

I have an armload of stuff to put on besides the new clutch. I have a VIS carbon fiber hood and trunk, HKS hipermax rs coilovers, buschur front mount and upper piping, Perrin rear strut bar and trunk bar, Invidia cat back and HKS downpipe with 3" hi flow cat. I have a lot of other stuff, but you get the idea of why it is killing me to wait.

Oh crap! I just got off the phone with the service manager at the dealership that my car is at and they have done something that they want me to come "and inspect". They are telling me that it may take some paint work to repair, but he won't be specific. I might just freak out now. The car has been there for almost 4 months for a repair they said they would take responsiblilty for (they have taken responsibility for the 2 payments since it has been there) issue. But, if they have screwed up my car I am going to "wig" out.

The dealer failed to inform me when they said it may need minor paint work that they had put a crease in the passenger front fender and both doors. They also broke the r/f headlight. Apparently they damaged the vehicle pushing it through the shop and ran it into another vehicle that was up on a lift. They have already ordered the new parts to fix the damage, but they have pushed me over the edge. I think I am going to just take the car home and take all of my aftermarket parts off and sell everything. I am having enough fun driving my M3 lately and it fills my " coolness factor" and other than the AWD it has most everything else to offer. So, there may a part out on my parts very soon.
