My New TB EVO IX

Hello Evom,

I just got my tb evo IX the other night, if you guys are wondering how much I paid for it. I paid 32500 OTD. I got it at Invoice. Anyways, I have a questions, I tried searching for it but I can seem to locate the tread. I'm just wondering if it's a good Idea to change the oil after it breaks in or after a 1000 miles, I know the maunal says 600 miles but i was wondering how many of you evo owners change your oil after your motor breaks in. Oh yes... I will have Pics up This sunday Hopefully, I am still waiting for my cousin to drive his red 98 Twin turbo Supra so that we can take pictures together so look for it in the evo show and shine section if you guys are interested. Thanks ahead for the info and replies.Have a great nite and take care.

I'd change it after 1500 miles to get rid of the break in crap. . .

Congrats on your new purchase, I hope you enjoy your car. That is a good price you got it for too. I hope to join you as a new EVO IX owner in March.

I PM'ed you back about when I changed my oil. I changed it at around 1500 miles because the oil was getting black and the engine consumed some oil. I was basically down to low when I checked so I decided to change the oil instead of topping it off. Maintenance schedule is every 5k miles according to my manual btw.

Listen to the manual. You don't think they just wrote that for you to throw away and ignore do you?
