I am not sure if this topic was already discussed, but i have searched and cant find an answer. I tried launching my car, by dropping the clutch and it made a clunk cluck sound, i know its not good and feel real stupid but i was just wondering what that was. And now whenever I go in reverse it makes the sound ,and when i switch from reverse to 1st it makes the noise. But, then after taht it stops. If anyone can please jsut let me know what this is and if it needs to be fixed. If it has been discussed already just link me to the discussion. Thanks alot to anyone that will help and if you guys need help with anything I am not stupid in the Evo industry as many will think i am from this question.

 

IDK what it is, if it continues to make that sound you should take it back to the dealer before you mod the car. My car makes a clunk sound going from 2nd to 3rd but only when the car is really cold, so im not worrying about it that much.

 

plugs? not sure either, launching it shouldnt do that at all considering all the power you ar eletting go when you release the clutch...um, not good though
when do you launch? 4k 5k 6k ?

 

High rev's and just dumping the clutch isn't good on the transfer case. Go get it checked out.

 

Wow, some people just don't deserve to have Evos. How in the world are you able to afford a brand new Evo 9, but you're not intelligent enough to know not to dump your clutch? Just looking at the "AND A LOT OF CARBON FIBER" really tells the story here...

 

Thanks alot to everyone for their help and i will just go check it out at the dealer. Also i work and go to school. I am jsut a white boy with the need to go fast and for some reason like the way carbon fiber would look on a white car. But anyways i think Warrtalon has alot of knowlege on cars form reading other posts, just didnt seem to like my question. It wasnt even dumping the clutch it was slippin fast, a liltle too fast.
