I vehemently disagree. You see it as a flame, whereas I see it as saving the guy from going down a path to destruction. Seriously, not even knowing such basics as a turbo and a "cat" means the guy has absolutely no business getting an Evo and modding it. The Evo is not a toy, and we don't live in a movie (2F2F). I agree that this guy shouldn't even think about getting an Evo and modding it right now. He probably shouldn't get an Evo at all, but if he does, I hope he learns how to drive it first before modding and learns to appreciate what it is. Then, after much research, he may have enough knowledge to properly mod his car and do so without killing himself.

The question the guy asked is basic knowledge and like i said the name turboback or catback is pretty self explanatory. You did not help this thread either by coming in here complaining about how "childish we are"

Everyone has to start somewhere. You have made presumption that b/c he is unaware of the difference between a catback and a turboback, suddenly he doesn't know how to drive, doesn't appreciate the the Evo, looks upon it as a toy and will end up killing himself.

Frankly its not your job or anyone elses' to save anyone from any path unless you're some kind of religious fundamentalist.

There are a variety of posts in this thread that did exactly what you're claiming to be doing that were not flames. Anyone would be more willing to listen to someone who explains things rather than telling them they're stupid.

And notice I did not respond until you chimed in. I let the softer responses flow in and left it at that, but then you had to come in and complain, so it opened up a whole new can of worms.

I hardly see how I need to be a religious fundamentalist in order to help someone not make poor decisions. That could be the dumbest thing I've seen in this thread. Without your permission, I will continue and try to help people, fundamentalist or not.

As sick as I am of people asking the same questions, I'm also sick of people attacking others because they ask questions and don't have complete automotive knowledge.

I'm sure at some point and time, you didn't know the difference between a catback and a turboback, unless you came from your mothers womb with haines manual implanted in your head.

no i knew the difference and you know how i knew...i looked up information, read a damn book or something. I just did not come on to these forums and start posting questions that could of been found by just opening a search or looking at book. I research everything that i dont know or that i plan on putting on my car...once i have enough info if i still have a question i ask it and most are happy to help...especially WT.

The guys question was answered in the second post.

Isn't it ironic that you suggest I shouldn't be complaining when your first post on this thread was nothing but a complaint?
