i drive the car everyday, and track it(road course) occasionally. i liked the stock pads, if i can get something just as quiet that brakes just as good for a fraction of the cost...i would love them. if i can get something that is just as quiet, and brakes BETTER for the same price or less id go for those too.

now, that being said....what are my best choices?
For DD and occasional track use, the DS 2500 and Hawk HPS are very good choices, they will perform better than stock. They also will not squeel if you install and bed them correctly. Follow the thread in the How To/Installtions forum of this board and you will be very happy. Make sure that you use the anti-sieze coumpound and the pad lubricant on the edges of the pads. Also make sure you save your stock shims, that is important as well.

Good luck!

Carbotech's. Perform better than stock at the track. Still good for street/ no noticeable noise increase over stock, my 2 cents.

For street use, go with Hawk HPS and have them installed and broke in properly. They will not screech. Performance-wise they bite harder, less fade, and less dust than stock.
And the kciker is they cost a lot less than stock pads.

I've tried Ferodo 2500's & Hawk HPS...they all squeal...and are annoying! Pay the price go STOCK pads...they're the BEST!!

Where to get stock pads cheap...I couldn't tell...sorry, but stay with stock ones.
