Honestly I would get the new Civic Si, for the price it's a very nice car. The TC is nice, but damn if I see another one of those cars on the road I am going to puke, I mean there everywhere, one even tried to race me, LOL.

my friend had a tc which he traded for an rsx-s because the insurance was cheaper, but he had one accident on his record at the time and it was 230/month for insurance and the rsx was 180/mo, accident cleared and he pays 150 for a is350, so tc insurance is not cheap

also a very good option, still the car of the moment though so dealers aren't going to negotiate on them for a little while. plus eventually everyone will have them just like the tC

another good option is the new GTI. a little more pricey but you could recoup some of the cost by selling the little fast doll you get on ebay for exorbitent amounts. i think it's a nice car. representing deutschland

The SI is the best overall car.

This kid in a stock Tc asked my friend with the 400hp GTO to race. He reasoned "my car is pretty quick". So my friend just shook his head and walked away. The engine must somehow inspire confidence.

I think he needs a slower car until he somewhat gets over the street racing bug.

I'd honestly suggest the RSX-Type S. Acura/Honda are doing well these days, the companies stick to their warranty's and don't push you around like Mistu does with the Evo's.

Its extremely reliable, good on gas, insurance should be cheap, and RSX's have a HUGE aftermarket supply! It comes in some sweet colors, not too common, and doesn't look bland (Scion's).

Plus, you can get 6spd, leather, sunroof, HID, etc...all the nice things you could need.

A RSX-S with a Greddy/HKS turbo kit will give you around 280whp or so...and you can drive it to 200k without problems.

The Civic Si is also very nice. Not quite as sporty, comes with a few more "luxery" options (Navi/heated seats), but a nice ride nonetheless.

The choice is up to you. The Evo is a excellent ride, but pretty pricey to own and maintain...and the modding bug is DANG exspensive!

I've never driven a tC, but when my gf was looking at cars, she looked hard at the tC until she drove one. She said it was too slow. A girl who doesn't really care whole lot about cars said it was too slow. Just repeating the message; I've never been in one.

They look cool though. Maybe some mods will give it the kick it needs.

I'm kind of in the same situation expect I dont owe anything on the car anymore. You just have to know how to save your money.

I could have done the same at 19, when going to school. I was making $1100 to $1300 a week. That was in... well a long time ago. I would have bought an Evo if then were now. I was forced to finish collage and left the job, which my dad got me. So I say why not buy one if you can.
