The VIII does have an HKS intake, Greddy Turbo Timer, Greddy cat-back. They were all on the car when I purchased it. With the HKS intake, I do get a pretty loud release when shifting, so either there is an aftermarket BOV, or the stock DV is just pronounced heavily. Either way, I plan to get back to stock actually. The exhaust has a nice tone but it drones a bit too much for me. And I've already removed the turbo timer for the most part. So if anyone has any advice on how to reinstall the stock intake system, let me know. I'll also eventually be selling the parts I take off, so again, if anyone is interested let me know. All parts cannot have more than 12k miles on it since the car has less than that. And I doubt they were on the day it was new.

The S 2000 has no mods other than a good driver

I do autox now and again but I'm not really in it to win, I simply enjoy driving vehicles without getting tickets.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

You don't need any advice on re-installing the stock airbox. It all just falls right back into place...it's simple. You won't be able to sell your parts until you're a contributing member of the site with a minimum of 50 posts in certain sections of the site (Newbie doesn't count).

I wasn't able to till 100 posts. That should get the 'evolving status'

Yes, I read the rules, unlike 99% of people on car boards. I will contribute where I can, but I'm not going to ***** the place up just to attempt to sell some parts. I'm sure you'll see me in OT.

And as far as the stock airbox is concerned, yeah it looked as though it was just a slide in procedure. The car didn't come with the stock parts so I may have to get them from Mitsu at some stupid price.

And , yes, I know where the search is. I was searching for info long before I was even a member here.

No, make sure you buy a used stock intake on here for next to nothing.

Evozakk, it's only 50 posts. Remember that only posts in certain areas count, and to see your ACTUAL post count, look at your own profile.

Yeah, most were in the general and show and shine, but my ACTUAL post count was 100 before I was able to post in the private for sale forum.

I am not saying it's not 50, I am just saying that was my experience with it.

I have a break down of the stock airbox, that the folks at Ball mitsubshi printed out for me. Let me know if you want a copy.

That would be great, I suppose I could just stop by and get one myself. And get the parts while I am there. Heck, I could just make them do it. Sounds odd buying stock parts to replace aftermarket, but I love the car stock.
