Rear passenger power door lock not working?

the lock is not responding to the door lock switch or the keyless entry. All the other locks work fine. Any idea what it could be?

Did you check the child safety switch, next to the door latch? (You have to open the door (from the outside) to see it.)

Hmm...I think it will still lock and unlock even is the child safety latch is on. You just can't open the door from the inside.

If all the other ones work properly its got to be something in the door. Have you done anything, speakers etc? Maybe you knocked someting loose while you were in there. If not than I would think its the door lock actuator.

???What about the child safety lock? I dont know but could that have anything to do with it? just my .02

thanks guys. i'll check the child switch. No, i have not installed speakers. The panel has never been off the door. The only thig that has been done to the car is an AEM wideband, boost gauge, RS Intake, and new head unit. The car only has 5,000 miles on it, so id be surprised if it was the actuator, but ya never know.

This is odd...i'm having the same problem..and for me it's definately not the child safety lock.
I guess I will have to get this serviced.

Definitely the child switch. My daughter was playing with it the other day and locked herself in this morning.

well, i checked the child switch, and it was not locked. so that had no effect on the locking mechanism. So whats my next step? Pull the door panel and check to see if power is getting to the motor? Thanks

Dude its an 06 with 5K miles. Take it to the dealer. Door locks have nothing to do with eng mods, and they would have no reason to even open the hood.

i hear ya man, but id rather not risk having my whole warrenty voided for something like this. I can put the car back to stock(besides the wideband), but i really don't want to go thru the trouble. Fixing this own my own would probably less work than putting the car back to stock.

So whats my next thing to check? thanks guys

the problem is if you do take the door panel off and it turns out to be say a wireing issue, the dealer will probably not cover it saying that you have taken the door panel off and pinched the wires or something

I work at a dealer and it's really easy to tell if somebody has worked on their own car. Basically take it to the dealer.
