Just want to thank everyone who participate in this network. I've had my Evo VIII for 2 1/2 years and have learned a lot reower mods, customizing, troubleshooting from you. This is my first turbo motor and it's been a crazy learning curve But I've always been able to get comprehensive write-ups on anything I wanted or need to do. Attached are some pics of my "family" car. Mods include Injen cold-air kit, Buschur "hot-side" Edge Racing header and 3" downpipe w/cat delete, Megan Racing 4 1/2" cat back system, Perrin hoses, Halman in-cabin MBC, Walbor 255, triple gauge a-pillar, color-keyed dash/interior components and wheels, blacked out headlights, color keyed hood vent, Street Glow underbody neon (I know some folks this is too bling, but lighting just the intercooler up at night is intimidating), Sony X-plod XM/CD receiver. Racing 4 1/2" cat back system.. 4 and a half inch.. anyways pics are real hard to see. but its good you love and care for car..

 

Are you sure your Megan 3" is really 4.5" in diameter? I don't think they even make one.

And no, night-glo on your intercooler is not intimidating. In fact, it's the opposite. It screams, "I'm a fairy!!!"

 

Sorry bout the confusion. Only the muffler is 4.5". From the cat delete back is 3.5". As far as the intercooler comment, you have to remember I'm in the land of the John Deere... Nothin's finer than puttin down a 5.0 musdawg, corvette or the only porsche in the area. I would agree in the big city, people look a little differently at aesthetics. But it did look cool when shot from a video on I-64 doing 150 at night. Got the whole UFO thing going on...

 

The exhaust is only 3". The tip is 5". Why did you think it was 3.5" at any point in the exhaust?
