Ok, this is not how the site works. I don't expect us to hear lots of stupid questions from you, because before you post again, you'll go read the forum rules at the top of this forum. It says that you MUST SEARCH before posting a thread. Had you followed that rule, you'd know there is a big difference between a regular IX and an MR.

If you won't be driving for 2 years, then there won't even be any IXs other than some used ones. The X will be out, and there likely won't be an MR. You said you planned to get an MR, but you don't even know what it is?

The worst possible thing you could do is buy a $36k race car and immediately spend a few thousand on CF body parts to make it look stupid. I know you're a little kid, but the Evo is not a toy. 2F2F is a movie - that is not reality.

first of all, the evo is NOT a good first car. Second of all the MR is the most expensive evo that is a somewhat limited edition. It has an aluminum roof, HIDS, 6 speed, upgraded suspension and other exterior parts. IF the evo is your favorite car it sounds like you need to do some research on it before "buying it".

The IX is the generation, which is a the 2006 model. The MR is the trim level. The IX comes a either an RS, GSR, or MR. (same for the VIII)

Ok, so you're not going to get an Evo when you start driving in 2 years? I don't understand the questions then. By the time you get an Evo, IXs will be 5 years old. It's more than personal preference on what looks good or bad. What you said would be absolutely heinous on an Evo, especially a stock one. It doesn't matter if you like the movie or not - you're trying to mimic the cars from 2F2F, which were absolutely monstrosities.

If you joined the forum to research, then good, start doing it. You research by searching, not by asking basic questions that have already been answered. Good luck finding your answers, but I don't think any of them will help you, since you won't have an Evo for so long.

were not looking down on your cause your young... things to look down on you are as follows

- you want cf as your mods

- you didnt search

- you didnt read rules

research more, you dont even know the basics, what models the evo comes in. keep learning, maybe someday you'll have one, take care of it

dont let these guys scare you away, just understand when you ask stupid questions you are going to get treated like you did.

The white car is an EVO VIII not a IX.

Dont mind these guys, if your into the evo, it is definitely something to stride for. Honestly though, you need to learn A LOT before you even think about owning a real beast like the evo. most people here have been enthusiast before you were born, and Im only 21 and I remember starting out where you did when you were only 9 or 10, posting random *** questions on honda-tech about my gs-r. I would go for something a little bit more sporty for your first car and learn about cars with that rather than driving a beetle that is not exacly mod friendly. honda's got my foot in the door and I learned about how cars actually worked and ditched the ideas my retard 3rd period auto teacher taught me. if your going to be an enthusiast... be one,

you're basing your evo mods on a picture you found. but the thing is in two years time you can change your taste in mods and/or even cars. the reason not everyone buys an mr is because it cost more than the regular ix or the rs. research mitsubishi's website to find out the difference in the models before you post up threads that can easily be answered through simple research. start worrying about your mods and the evo when you actually are about to get one, it's pointless to start researching this now when the evo models change every year or two, by the time you actually get a license or car there's going to be a whole new market of cars.
