EVO Newb Here
Hello everyone, I just wanted to introduce myslef. My name is Paul and i just bought a 2005 Evo from SouthCoast Mitsubishi with 5k miles on it. Great place great , great price.

I am new to evo's but not new to modding.
I have a 2001 Supercharged Cobra(430hp/400tq at the wheels) but this car is so much fun as a daily driver.

Anyways i am in Los Angeles, is there ever any Evo meets?
Take care everyone.

LOL i know. My cobra buddies were so excited when they found out that i bought an evo. I believe thier 1st words were" When are we going to line up"? Honestly from the hole, the 1st 100ft i think that the EVO has me. I should put my wife in the cobra and see what happens.
SouthCoast is a great place. I just bought it 2 weeks ago. the internet mgr Mike was great.

nice choice on going with an evo, what made you want one after owning the cobra?

Well i still have my cobra, i use it for car shows/drag events/open track. I love it to death it is so much fun.
The story goes when i got married my wife owned a Purple Saturn. Well time came to buy a new car and she wanted a truck, so i insisted on a SVT Lightning. Which you see in the 1st picture(silver). So i got stuck commuting in her purple saturn. I hated it with a passion. Finally i had enough, and we traded in the saturn for a Evo.
I looked at the STI's and the Evo. The evo was more appealing to me. The interior, less turbo lag. Once i drove it i was in love.
The main reason i guess to sum it all up was that i was bored with the saturn and wanted something fun to commute in, and still be able to attend open track events. I have found it with the Evo.
