The braille battery comes in two varieties: an 11lb lightweight or an "all-season" which is a little bit heavier (but still a minibattery and smaller than stock). I have the 11lb battery and it has worked flawlessly. I can start up the car without a problem even after two weeks of not driving the Evo.

I've had 2 different Hawker G16EPs in two different daily driver cars. The G16EP is the same as the Odyssey PC 680, only less expensive. Both are manufactured by Hawker. I had one in my SE-R for a year or so and one in a different Prelude I used to have. Both worked flawlessly like a normal full size battery would for cranking and running the car. I think the longest either car ever sat with that battery was about 6 weeks, and the car started up fine even after that. I did let one sit for about 3 months over the winter, and it lost enough charge that it could no longer start the car. But it's a deep cycle battery. So you just jump start the car and recharge it, and it's fine. The G16EP weighs 13.5lbs and costs about $70.

I have an Odyssey as well, but had some problems with it once I put in the SUN Cyber Voltage system.. I checked the ground and it was good.. before I would start the car but every week or so, now after installing the Sun system I start it every other day..

I ran an odyssey in my civic and R32. Worked great, I'll probably get on for my IX as well.

WOW, I can't believe some of the stories people have about the Odyssey 680. I've had one in my other car for almost 2 years. Its lasted through below zero temps up here in the NE and has sat for weeks at a time w/o use. It starts up EVERYTIME I crank the car over.

I'm in the market for a mini battery for the EVO, it will be another Odyssey 680 for sure.

For the people who have Braille and let it sit for a couple weeks at a time, do you have alarms? Just wondering if it will still start with an alarm turned on.

That's funny. My hawker genesis has last over 2 yrs so far. 1yr in my WRX and now 1.5yrs so far in my evo. The same battery.

It has also seen very severe duty. Daily driven. Tahoe snow covered. Track duty. It has cranked over the first time even with the car covered in snow overnight. Cranked over the first try after the car sat in my garage for 3 weeks.

I have a new extra one that has been sitting on my shelf for 4 months. I haven't had to use it yet.

Best battery I have ever had.
