Best mini battery?

I'm not talking kit, it doesn't even neccesarily have to be one included in a kit. It also does not have to be the lightest - just one that will allow better flow UICP piping and still shed some weight.

I don't want to have to stress about cold starts or having a mild system (no subs) in my car, but would still like to go for the performance aspect. I've read so far that the braille batteries seem to be pretty damn good, but some swear by odyssey. Figured i'd see your opinions / experiences.

there are two choices for batteries. the oddyssey and the braile. braile is bigger and is widely used as a supplemental or run in dual format for people with big thumping stereos.

nisei makes trays for both!

best is none, they die if you don't use the car for 3-4 days..... and they won't even last a year....

Agreed, my AMS battery did the same. Died when I left for the weekend, and couldn't recharge it.

i have the GSC small battery kit. clears the stock airbox and has a nice cover on it that matches the other underhood parts. left the car for atleast a week and it started just fine.

I have a Braille battery. I had a Odyssey PC680MJ on my old car, a 2001 Cobra. The braille will only go dead if you dont start the car after two weeks or so in my experience. The Odyssey will need recharging after 3-5 days. The CCA of the Odyssey 680 sucks imo, thats the main problem with it. The Braille is the best mini battery I have ever used. Dont let anyone tell you that you will have to recharge it every 3-4 days. I simply used the stock battery to jump off the Braille the one time it wouldnt turn over. That was after not starting or running the Evo for 2 full weeks! I have started it 20+ times since then with no problem whatsoever. It starts just as quick with the Braille as it does with the stock battery.

wow what in heavens are you guys running in your cars? i leave my car untouched gathering dust for weeks at a time. i usually don't even look at my car once a week and i mean SEVEN DAYS AT LEAST... i've gone 3 months without starting it and it fired up the first time... this is with the oddyssey.

granted i live in los angeles and i don't have to worrya bout cold starting... but you guys make it sound like i'm running a triple A battery.
