mpg?????

When I drive like a maniac I get 18 mpg.

when I drive like a grandma, I get 19.2 mpg.

WTF?

I hear all these people getting 300 miles per tank. how is that even possible? I drive like an OLD man and get 225 miles per tank.

maybe a reflash improves mpg?

not that I am SO worried about it, but it would be nice to be able to get some decent milage given that I have 2 liter motor...

Moving out of Texas to a cooler climate helps. Also a tune (A/F) helps. Intake and exhaust help. yada, yada....

HAHA. I know the feeling man. I get around 18mpg if I'm driving like a mad man or if I'm driving like a grand ma. I just don't get it. Isn't driving slow suppose to help my mpg? Either way, I end up mixing up my driving style since at the end I get the same mpg. Sometimes I feel like my evo likes to be pushed hard and it hates me when I don't push it so that's way I get the same mpg.

I get a lil over 300 per tank if I drive regularly keeping it under 4k .... I also have the Sun Auto hyperground and voltage stabilizer box ... dont really knoe if that helps but I seem to be getting the milage....

before my tune my car sucked through gas like crazy... now I'm consistently hitting 24mpg on tank... which is about 70% fast highway driving(80-90)... when I'm not driving as much highway it settles to 22mpg. I do several WOT pulls per day and pretty much go as fast as traffic will allow to and from work. I just got brand nwe tires too, so I'm thinking these numbers might go up a tad.

^ damn I wish I could get 24mpg....

Will the TTM Dynoflash give me that kind of mpg results, or only the custom tune?

higher mpg normally means a lot of highway driving. It appears that you do a lot of city driving, maybe

I get about 17mpg driving mine hard, but when I drive it like a grandma, I get about 20-21. I think my last tank, I got like 250 miles or so. but my car is running really rich and I probably need a tune.

I've run a mixture of 89 and 93 octane and I'm averaging maybe 16 to 18 mpg. Traffic does not allow for WOT and highway speeds are 60 to 70. Just slow enough for several cut and weaves to/from work but other than that its swinging from 2nd to 4th and maybe 5th if you get lucky. Mine is still stock...

i've been tracking my mileage since i brought the car home. first couple tanks were between 17/18.5 on average. but those were also the hey, check out how fast the evo is tanks.

now, with a few miles on, it's loosening up some. it's sitting around 19.5 or so, daily driven on 93. mainly surface street driving.

probably see 22-24 easily on the highway.

I got 320 miles from a tank one time all highway. average speed 80. The average for my car is 240 per tank mixed driving. steady driving is the key to the evo. one speed long distance.
