The link is right there in my sig. It's a package that Buschur sells based off my preferences. That is to the wheels, of course. Doesn't it say WHP? We don't speak in terms of crank HP, because that can't be easily measured or proven.

The whole "air" philosophy works for most cars and surely worked for your Lightning, but the first thing you need to do is forget what you learned in the Lightning and focus solely on the Evo. Not everything works the same on the Evo - it has its quirks - so be sure to RESEARCH BEFORE PURCHASING ANYTHING!

hey i was lookin at this on bushurracing.com once and saw the same stage 1 kit but it was 1350. it added it cone air filter. they also had this power package that was for 2200 bucks which said it was to put out 330 whp. heard rumors about guys gettin these packages and the cars ended up in the garage week on out due to problems caused by these parts. im not sure really but i hear your credibility is good so i would like to know more about the difference between these two upgrades.

i would love to get these upgrades from bushur but i just need some more info and opinions compared to others out there. i made some mistakes on the lightning by gettin parts i heard of first then installing them and then it gave me problems only to find out that those parts sucked and there were better ones. waste of money and time, tryin to do it right the first time at least in the beginning with the evo.........

another question if you dont mind, just out of curiosity, if i were to get all 4 stages from bushur racing, what would whp be at an estimate. although in all those upgrades they are missin some stuff that i would want to replace. im just wondering though, hope you can help

 

Krazirob, MY SPECIFIC PACKAGE IS ONLY IN MY SIG. It is not on the website. It is completely separate and must be asked for by n ame, but it is sold through Buschur Racing. You will get 330whp or more with those basic mods in the package in the link in my sig. Just click on it - don't worry about the website.

I don't know what rumors you're talking about, but I've never heard those rumors. There are people all over the country with my package and the regular Buschur packages, but I've never heard of people being in the shop right afterwards due to the parts - that makes no sense. The parts are simple, proven, and reliable. People wouldn't go in the shop due to the parts - they'd go in due to improper installation or abuse.

You don't need to worry about stage 4 so soon on your IX. Chill out and do a few basics to gain 60-70whp, then decide where you want to go. The stages are more designed for the VIIIs than the IXs.

 

i am gonna get that package then. im also gonna get a good ram intake. K&N had some good ones and AEM also. have you upgraded your bov or wastegate valve yet. someone was sayin something about that to me today but cant quite remember. the sound is nice to have in all but would i lose hp and would i need a new maf sensor..?

 

No, do not get a RAM intake or whatever. Never never neve even mention the K&N Typhoon - it is horrible for the Evo. If you MUST get an intake, then just get the $80 Buschur air filter kit. It is as good as any intake, fits perfectly, and is properly priced.

You don't need to upgrade your BOV, because you have a IX. In fact, my first upgraded BOV was the one that comes stock on your IX. Do not touch it. You also have no need to touch your wastegate - that's an SRT-4 thing.

 

hey about that 80.00 intake. is that the one in the stage 1 kit link that i had a couple posts ago.......the one that was 1350??

Yes, that is the same intake that is in Buschur Stg 1. My package is different - one of the differences is it doesn't include an intake, because I do not think they are necessary. You can get one if you want. You can get whichever package you want, too. As long as you get the right parts from Buschur, I'm happy.
