Also look at most obvious positive...you could have been flamed when the freaken thing caught fire. Your are sooooooooo lucky. Spark plus gas = not so happy evo engine bay.

but 2 negatives are:

1 - Dealer still has his car
2 - Dealer is doing the work on his car. He'll probably get it back with oily seats, scratched paint, and a few dents

Um, if your sparkplugs aren't sparking anywhere except inside the combustion chamber, you have a lot more to worry about than a fire Especially with coil packs.

you guys are nuts. well the car is at the body shop and someone from mitsubishi came there to look it over and fix it there at the paint shop. so I don't have to worry about dents and oily seats.

huh, I guess you get some bad ones every so often. I've had mine for over 2 years now and I've never had any problems since day one.
