You said you ran 13.2@106 on the same mods, but then ran 12.2@112 after adding the stall and tires. How did you gain 60whp worth of trap speed with 2 mods that don't add power? I am not questioning the ET at all - just the fact that your power to weight ratio does not add up to 112mph traps.
I thought u trapped 110 mph with 300 whp Warr.

TQ and gearing can make that Equation a lil cloudy.

I did, and I did it with just under 3400lbs including driver. His car weighs more than 3400 without a driver, plus I couldn't do 112mph with 10 more whp. See what I mean? Another thing is automatics help with ET, but they LOWER the mph. The fact that he's trapping right at 112mph with only 310whp on a Dynojet with around 3600lbs (or more) in an automatic just doesn't add up. Also, his 60' was just 1.75, nothing special like 1.5-1.6. Traction doesn't create horsepower. In most cases, the better 60' with sticky, low pressure tires will give a lower trap than one that spins.

I dont know how long I have been saying this. However, like I said I think there is something more on the car. If warr also has a doubt then that just tells me that I was right too. Cause he has been around alot longer than I have.

My best 60' was 1.705 and it's in one of the slips that I had even though it only gave me a 12.3 As far as the MPH is concerned SHIFT EXTENSION!! If you look at the wot vid I posted you can see it there as well. I'll tell you how the stock trans runs. When a stock trans shifts to the next gear (depending on gearing, I'm on 2.73s) it will go down to 3000 rpms ( out of the powerband) and then it has to crawl back up into the power band, that takes time and speed away. Now with this converter, when it shifts now (cam)it drops right to 5000rpms on the next shift (watch vid) and look at where it drops when it goes to 3rd. Before the cam and headers it was more like 4800rpms. So now I'm in the powerband where MPH will increase significantly. Hope this clarifies some.

At what rpm does it shift? Cause remember you told me it is out of power at 6000. So if it goes to 5000 you are onll in your powerband for 1000rpms. Somehting is fishy here.

It shifts at 6600rpms but it doesn't pull as hard as it should because of the lifters.

When the tach shifts into 2nd it's a bit slow, all Fbodies are known for that.

Roarin 8, that still doesn't create HP. Trapping higher than your power to weight ratio just doesn't make sense. That's all I'm saying. 310whp is not very much at all, and a 112mph trap on a 3600lb car requires much more. Plus, 2.73s? Good lord, that shouldn't accelerate well at all.

In my powerband for 1600 rpms, watch the vid. Look at the mph and the tach.

Watch the vid and tell me that it doesn't accelerate well. Being in the powerband makes better use of the power that I have. My car weighs 3505 with me in it.
