So heres the story: I'm leaving the country for a year.
I recently got a ride in an 03 GT35R'd evo from a previous subaru buddy who had his car wrecked by someone else.
the car was an animal. i fell in love with the car the moment i sat in it. I had been considering an sti, but to feel the way the car delivered the power, the way it turned corners and the precision and confidence it gave brought smiles to my face in a way I never thought a car could
the trouble is, the evo IX won't be around when I get back. Is it really important that I get one of the evo IX's new, or do you think I would be safe purchasing a car on evom when I return in 12-14 months? Worse comes to worse, if buying new is that important, I could send the money and have my family make the arrangements.
Basically, is this a car you guys would be willing to buy used, or are there a lot of "bad apples" turning up like there were in the wrx world (trannies blown, tons of problems from driver abuse)
I love me some evo.
I want the fast box.

There is no reason to get it now to let it sit, rot and lose value. When you come back there will be a better one. Especially since you're getting an "Evolution", not like a Camry where the car stays similar for 4 or 5 years it's on the market.

just wait till you get back there will be some new 9's still available when you get back. If purchasing used just make shure you do your homework ask for all records the previous buyer has of it, it will tell you how well it has been taken care of. I keep every receipt of every thing i have done to my evo and it is well taken care of.
when do they actually stop production on the IX? when do you think there will be none of them left.
I don't like the X. I've seen it and didn't like anything about the direction they were taking the evolution.
If there are good cars to be had on here, I think I may be purchasing an evom car
another subaru>mitsu conversion? maybe so.
