Hey guys!

Im new around here, My name is Junior...im from Connecticut...im 17, just graduated, and I purchased a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 9 MR today. It's probably one of the most exciting things when the car of your dreams is driven off the showroom just for you .

Well...I know this car is not a machine that likes to be ignored...so Im looking for pointers and everything and anything you guys could tell me, cuz I probably wont know it. I already put 100 miles on the car today , I was careful not to go over 5k rpms, since the guy that sold it to me said I should wait at least 500 miles before testing the real power of everything.

ya...believe me...im not trying to go over 80 right now...I have friends that go over 180 on the highway...nice ticket to death...im not really the racing type...yet...Im gonna get used to my baby .

I got it in New Britain...I was able to talk down the price to 35K since I was payin cash...thanks for all the congrats...if any of you guys have any tips or any special tricks or anything I should know about help me out...Im trying to be the best I can be to my Evo

Great choice, but how in the world does a 17yo kid have 35k cash for a car?

Be sure to boost plenty, but just don't go over 5k. At 500-600 miles, start romping on it to 7500rpm...

We connecticut folk get lots of money for graduating school. Not me though. I had to work my *** off.

 

LoL...been in love with the evo since 2 fast 2 furious...saw the 9...had to go for it, read about the MR...definately had to have it. I run a home business online in which I deal with online marketing and work with companies such as EarthLink, AOL, and PeoplePC to help them get customers and effective ads running...etc...but yea, Im excited. cant wait to romp that 7.5k rpm :-p

oh yea...ill probably start with minimal mods sometime in november...waddya guys suggest for the first 2-3 mods?

yea...btw...I worked my *** off for this car, my parents didnt buy me this car, my mom just bought a house...no way in hell she could afford to get me this car now LoL

 

oh yea....I burned an audio disc with Nero so I can go cruise and test out that sound system but the evo keeps spittin the cd back...wtf did I do wrong lol? wrng flavor cd?
