Question 100 octane

Is it safe to run 100 octane if u already put 93 in it and its not tuned for 100? Can there be a hp diff?

No probelm.Adding high octane fuel into a low octane tune will not hurt,but pointless since you can't make full use of 100 octane.

Only if you raise the boost and/or retune, otherwise it's a waste of money, but it won't hurt your car.

I hope you're not running 24psi daily on 93, though...

i had it flashed by AMS that is what they set it at? Do u think i should change over to 100 octane? I have an appointment at AMS for the 25th.

If you use it on the street it a waste of money. It will be better if you use it on the track to prevent detonation.

u guys got me a lil woried now.....Is it safe to run 24psi of boost on 93?? I dont want no booms under the hood.

In my opinion, it is not. That's what some of us run on race gas. You only have an VIII, so you should be running 21-22psi max, not 24.

If you want to run 100oct daily, then you can make a lot more power, but that would get kind of expensive...

I use 100oct daily on 25 psi, with no problems. I have an 8 also!

yeah im going to fill up on 100 octane and get tuned to run it at AMS. Thanks guys
