0-60 times

I've seen 0-60 times for evos on car websites listed from ~4.2-5.0. I was wondering what kind of mods you would have to do to a stock evo to get that in the sub-4 second range?

Turbo swap, pick your favorite one, full exhaust, dyno tune and a new clutch to handle all the power should do it just fine. Driving its a different thing all together but the car would be capable of it.

never clocked it but Im sure I am down in the low 4s when launching...mathmatically- this works sorta - I think its more for RWD/FWD and doesnt capture AWD.

0-60= (weight of car in kilogrammes) / (maximum bhp of car * 0.9)

Really all you would need is a liitle power and a heavy duty clutch.

I didn't realize that the VIII and the IX were so different, are those power gain numbers from the XFlash Reprogrammed ECU and the Passive Boost Solenoid Emulator legitimate?

unfortunatly yes

with less they can do more...thanks to MIVEC and larger IX turbo

TBE/MBC/Flash - VIII v. IX is about 30 whp different. The IX seems to react better upgrades.

We don't really know 0-60 times and it's not even worth talking about them. Only magazines have the proper tools to measure 0-60, and who knows if they even launch the cars properly or shift fast enough. You should only worry about 1/4-mile ET and MPH. Worrying about 0-60 is just something that ricer mag fans worry about.

lol; i guess I'm a ricer then. I think if you are running a steet only car, it's a decent indicator of what your car will do stoplight to stoplight compared to other cars. TBE and a flash ought to get you close enough. Empty your trunk while your at it.

Just saying there's no way to know the actual 0-60 time or to accurately compare it against other cars. It's magazines that get people worrying about these things.

according to the calculator the AMS evo should be doing 0-60 in about 1.7 seconds!

0-60 depends on the day; most cars arent going to be pushing the same numbers all the time; for example the car can be in excellent shape but the day is bad also with these car mags. drivers who knows if the really know how to drive the best way to figure out what your 0-60 is by electronics in your car such as ApexI Rev/Speed Meter which can tell how fast your car is pushing and all that jazz
