I drive my car to work and back...only about 10 miles each way...I also use it on the weekends, but try not to all that often because gas prices blow...

My Evo is a DD and I love it. Although it doesn't have much mileage on it I picked up some snow tires last winter and it is SO much fun to drive in the snow. Racing jeeps is great. I swear I must of picked up like 5-6 people that winter when their cars would get stuck.

If you do get an Evo please take note of this: The car will accelerate at rediculous speeds for being in snow (same with gravel/dirt, i've tried it ) , but be careful when you brake.

My RS is a daily driver and part-time family car. I literally drive miles out of my way every day just to hit a few extra corners. If I go to the store to get a sundry item, my wife knows that she won't see me for at least an hour.

This said, I don't think the premise of this thread is necessarily applicable to the your dilemma. The car will make a great daily driver if you're the type who'll enjoy its personality. OTOH, if you're looking for a somewhat comfy cruiser, you may be disappointed. The car's plusses can be summed up as its performance envelope, which is to say that it's scary-good, as well as its minimalist amenities that are geared toward (errr...) performance. The minuses depend on what you are looking for. As far as I'm concerned, the car is perfect other than its low-beams which I can outdrive with very little effort. You may feel very differently.

I had my car for a month and she has seen 2.5K. The only downside is that the stock Advans are a waste for daily driving. They should only see the track =)

As long as it doesn't rain or snow, it's my 'daily driver'. No worries, and no problens yet. I still look forward to getting in the car every morning!!

How convenient, when you wreck your car street racing they'll be able to drop you and the people you hurt right off at your work.

lol... chill, someone **** in your cheerios? he didnt say he was drag racing on the highway weaving in and out of traffic during the morning rush hour...

just cuz u goose your car a bit upto legal speeds on onramps and stuff pulling away from another car or something is NOT street racing.

oh and as regards to this thread of course i daily drive it, its not a farkin murcielago or a C6 Z06 (even that i would daily drive) its a 28k sports sedan why would i treat it like a collector car...

Bought March 03'... has 54k on the ticker... treat it no better than any other car I've owned.
