Yeah, I rotated them at like about 6,800 - 7,000. Those are what used to be on the rear.

They look pretty good compared to mine. At 9800, I had less than 10% tread left, if that! So your looking pretty good! I'm presently running Goodyear F-1's in 255/35/ 18's. They grip even better than the stockers and handle wet roads much better too.

I read in the maintenance manual that there are color indicators in the tread that will show when your tires need to be changed. But they definitely look good for ~10,000 miles

When you get new tires, make sure that you have the car realigned to factory specs. Some Evos (mine included) came from the factory with the toe adjustment considerably off, which contributes to premature wear in the inside. My second set of tires are wearing perfectly evenly, thanks to frequent rotation and a good alignment.

Nitto 555s? Nah, best replacement for the Advans is a nearly-new set of Advans from a ricer who just bought an Evo and put on phat rims right away or brand new Falken Azeni RT615s (255/40-17).

The RT615s I mentioned are about as close as you can get, and they cost half the price. I'm not kidding either. I'm speaking from TRACK experience (road course) with proven lap times. Just this weekend, I put down the fastest lap of the day on Saturday among 20-25 cars with my 255 RT615s on the stock suspension. I just had upgraded brake pads, good brake fluid, my power mods, and a little of the Driver Mod. The tires were very, very sticky this time and were very sticky last month during my track vid where I have in-car footage of me passing 3 Z06s.
