Noob here! Evo's ROCK!
what's up everyone. another noob putting himself out there.
24 years of age and my name's lou ernald p, thus my sn. i use this sn on all the forums on the web. anyways i just got my 03 apex silver evo 8 about two weeks ago with 40k for $21,500 here in socal. the car was totally stock until i put in my apex turbo timer about 4 days ago (after the CD Player and Alarm, of course).
i also have a heavily modified Ls/Vtec Integra, so i'm not new to the tuning world, though i am new to turbocharging and AWD
. my friends kept telling to turbo the teg, but i insisted that that motor was meant to be N/A and that if honda wanted it to be boosted they would have done it. so i went into the market of finding a turbo platform. i looked into the evo 8 and the sti, but ultimately went with the evo after extensive researching and watching the Best Motoring Videos of the evo vs sti.
i hope to further my knowledge into ways of the turbo and hopefully have a dope car to roll around in. my integ was a sleeper, but now with the evo, it's hard to "hide" and everyone and they're mama's wanna try you.
I am now part of the DARKSIDE!!!

i've added about 500 miles to her since buying her, and the accessory belt snaped on me. it seems to have been shreading on something against the motor. i just hope it's not gonna cost me too much, since i don't have the tools to do it myself. what a bummer.
Yup congrats on your purchase!!! Welcome to evom.net!!! Hopefully everything is running fine with your EVO, 40k is a lot of miles for a used EVO, not that it's really a lot of miles, it just that EVO owners seem to put our cars through a whole lot of abuse. Hopefully you made sure it was working properly before you bought. You'll quickly begin to love the EVO more and more, it's a wonderful car, and once you get some mods on it, you may even forget about your teggy, just kiddin'. Gongrats on owning two nice cars.
Those friends who told you to turbo the teg, they obviously haven't driven an EVO, LOL.
