Opinions on my Mods

I have a 2006 Evo 9 Mr. I'm going to get a custom flash for a stock Evo 9. Should I expect some pretty decent gains on a stock Evo?

I was suggested to atleast have a boost controler before the Tune....If I need one I can always pick one up. I plan on keeping this Evo very simple. Doing a little search led me to the forge UNOS MBC as my best option.

If anyone has this simple mod combination please chime in and give out your opinion to a fellow New Evo owner .

You would get a good amount more power with an exhaust. If you install one later, you will pay for the flash again. May be worth the wait to save $300.

A base flash will still unleash good power from a 9. If that's all you can afford then do it. BUT, if you can, get a TBE, MBC and flash. The 9's really respond to a custom tune.

Just save your cash and wait until you can do everything at once. I don't think there should be a real rush to mod, unless you have to compete?

I had a flash done by Al on my totally stock ix. It felt more smoother and I was able to launch it more easily. The power was not very much noticeable. I have since added a boost gauge and Forge unos mbc. It feels more stronger now because it holds boost longer, but in the lower rpm's it feels the same. If you want to improve power through out the powerband I believe a turboback exhaust and tune are the way to go. My car does feel much better with just a flash and mbc though.
