The Police Chargers are fast as hell but the handling isn't great and it's heavy. I say we'll all be ****ed if they did that in the U.S. They'll do some some **** like that Corvette in NFS:Most Wanted.
i think the police chargers have an upgraded suspension closer (not identical) to the SRT-8 suspension (.89g laterally) versus the R/T (.78g laterally)... still wouldn't compete with lighter cars with AWD in the corners... but then again those chargers would see more highway than mountains in most states.

don't get me wrong I am an SRT guy and die hard DCX fan but i feel their direction with the SRT-4 is completely wrong. BUT I am not your 18 year old punk *** driving piece of **** in an SRT-4 who weaves through traffic, accelerates and then lets go to just hear the BOV, and refuses to call it a neon because it says SRT-4 on the back.
an STi is still an impreza at the end of the day.
an EVO is still a lancer at the end of the day.
an SRT-4 is still a neon at the end of the day.
anyone who says otherwise is a complete moron and should have their achilles cut to prevent them from driving.
does that mean they are not excellent performing compact sports sedans? no. I've run into half and half with STi and EVO drivers - some are cool and recognize the ability of others car and the other half are like 90% of the SRT-4 owners - they think their car is the **** and nothing else is good enough for them except something more expensive.

As for checking automobile magazines, no thanks, I'll pass. They're hardly "experts."
For driving SRTs, been there, done that. If you like your car, great. That's all that matters. I don't need to make the payments on one so it matters none to me. I'm not going to sit here and bash it because of my more than underwhelming experience with driving one.
I've driven a ton of different makes and models, and I recognize the capabilities of many different automobiles, but that doesn't mean I have to like them. There are more than a handful of cars more expensive than Evos and STis that I have no interest in owning, or even sitting in again. I've driven cars that are CHEAPER than Evos and STis that I'd run out and buy IMMEDIATELY (Camaro 2010, Mustang GT), so it goes both ways.

FWIW, I couldn't care less what you think of an STi. You're running high 12s with mods and DRs. I've seen stock STis/STIs and Evos run high 12s right off the showroom floor.
I tried to treat you with respect, and then you call me a "retard." Typical angry name-calling SRT owner. Were you the dumbass in the Neon that gave me the "bov-check" as I was making a right turn this afternoon.
you need to chill. you got pissed off because I've shown you authorities that prove your ideas wrong and you continue to argue unsupported by facts. For the record i called your arguement retarded and not you - read closer. I love how you twist my statements... it's almost sad when people get pushed into a corner by facts you come out swinging because of a relatively harmless remark.
I've never seen a stock STi or EVO run 12s on street tires. Never even heard of it. Most magazines test STis and EVOs are 13.2 - 13.4 so dropping .2-.5 off of some of the best driver's times would make you a godly driver. Most EVOs and STis run 13.5-13.6 from what I've seen. If you haven't noticed the majority of people who drive the car can't reproduce the 1/4mi given by car magazines because they simply don't have the experience of the professional drivers and the dedicated track for extended periods of time for testing.
I actually have some experience in the field of physics and mechanics unlike most self-proclaimed enthusiasts... so before you think all SRT owners are alike look at people who own STis and EVOs and think "are all of them alike"... yes i'm a neon driver... why is that such a bad thing? is that an insult? 2005 One Lap of America the top contender was a neon run by Dale Seeley and he beat multiple modified EVO VIIIs and STis to take 1st place in the overall class that included STis and EVOs.
I only ask that you reserahc and think before you type. If you had read my previous statements you'd know I don't bov-check people and i'm not some punk *** kid driving around in a car my daddy bought so i could pick up girls... I actually AUTO-X and Drag Race and don't street race. Grow up and stop trying to single me out because i drive an SRT-4 and think you're better than me because I think I've already proven you wrong on that just by my ability to get under your skin so easily by proving you wrong on nearly all accounts... is it that hard to accept that a neon owner is more experienced and intelligent in the automotive field than an STi owner who just likes to argue without any actual education in the field?
I don't argue for the sake of arguing so i won't respond anymore... all you have proven is prejudice and that is sad.

But yeah, that's me.
I'm the "STi owner that likes to argue without any actual education in the field." I mean, who would've guessed.....don't all STi owners do that? BTW, APC just came out with a new cold air intake, neon lights, and stickers. Just thought you would be interested.
