Appreciate the search button...spell check...and paragraphs....

350-400 crank hp or engine hp? Upgrading the ECU - what do you mean -- piggyback system?

search for:
10.5 hot side
mail-in flash (your choice of who you want)
downpipe
test pipe
264/272/280 cams
fuel injectors
meth injection
20g turbo

....get my point -- Im not trying to be an ****, but please research some more

Im holding out until the prices on widebands comes down a little more. However, AEM UEGO priced around $280, is at the top of my list. The NGK AFX for $250ish also does not look bad, but I have not heard much about it yet.

UTEC is $$$. Why not a mail-in flash or EcuFlash/EvoScan?

I think its becuase i understand the utec alittle more cause i did research on it more. But looking at prices Ill consider a mail-in flash after i put a little bit more upgrades.

How about this list then:
Mitsubishi 20G Evo 9 Turbo With 10.5 Hotside
mail-in flash
hks 272 cams
DC down pipe
fuel injectors (what size you reccomend for this setup?)
walbro fuel pump

just for now.

i dont wanna be one of those newbies trying to make a monster over night

and thanx for all your help and not flamming me

You may find that the 10.5 hotside with the 16g turbo to be right on...have you driven in an Evo with 300 whp or 400 whp? (What are your decisions based on?)

i.e. I drag race, and I am building now to AutoX and for road courses - so I am mod to that.

If you just are looking to put a smile across your face then 300 whp maybe great for you. Besides how many long highways are there in Hawaii

But:
-- add a boost controller
-- add clutch
-- optional: colder spark plugs
-- optional: lower IC pipe

I would work in this order if your are building up your car:
First Step: Downpipe, MBC @ 20 psi, (LICP), clutch
Second Step: Fuel Pump, Cams, (colder plugs), Flash

Then if that isnt enough, then upgrade the turbo to a 20g and injectors. Injectors sizing is getting out of my comfortable range of knowledge. But I believe 660s would be the correct size - search for it And if that is still not enough - meth injection or a turbo upgrade. Skies the limit.

And remember these are just my opinions. Mod however you wish.

Well i want to build my car for drag because thats all we really got up here.

I already got the apexi avc-r electronic boost control.

next step for me is
1. cams
2.fuel pump
3.Downpipe
4. 20g turbo with 10.5 hotside
5. flash

what king of gauges you running? like egt, boost, fuel pressure, afr?

Sorry I missed the EBC. I have a boost gauge, and a crappy narrow band a/f (its there until I get a wideband). Eventually, I will be putting in EGT, Oil Pressure, and Oil Temp in too.

I also have a WRC gear selection gauge with a shift light - seen here:
